Some of the views from Criffel yesterday morning. Even when there is too much haze and sun in the wrong angle to enjoy the Lakeland Hills vista clearly, the fascinating Estuary channels never disappoint.

Lovely evening for a riverfly survey before the light quickly failed.
Upstream view of the survey site on the Cald Beck. Taken from mid stream, the flow has covered most of the rocks and the tree cover is good. Downstream view of the survey due onthe Cald Beck. The larger rocks and higher flow make it lively before are large pooled right angle turn in the river.
