@26thstreetbooks.bsky.social I keep hearing Convergence advertised on my favorite book podcast. It sounds amazing.

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the fall, and it delivered! While at time a little campy, the plot was enjoyable and I admit I didn’t see the twist coming. Nolan Rhodes is now tied for my favorite BW MMC with Fionn Kane. Can’t wait for the other books in the series. #booksky

Okay, but a second sequel is almost always trash. Except this one. The Frendo plot line is brought to its conclusion (or is it?), and in perhaps a first, a positive representation of Juggalos, intended to address the clown in the pop culture room. Would love to see this on the big screen #booksky

Rarely is a sequel as good as the original, but in this case Friendo Lives is at least as good as Clown in a Cornfield. I appreciate the judicious and timely social commentary in this one, and how well it was balanced between character development and gore. I hope this gets its own film. #booksky

So, like, how long before they come for the bookstores? Should I go on a bulk buying spree to keep at least some safe, and make sure I have access to books in the future? #booksky #books #righttoread

Have you ever felt like a book was written just for you? As someone who defended their dissertation less than a year ago, this book was healing for me in a very niche way. For those who can’t relate, this book is beautifully written and captivating. I can’t wait to read what she writes next. #booksky

Undoubtedly one of the scariest books I have ever read, and haunted house stories aren’t even in my wheelhouse. This taught and terrifying debut novel has landed Marcus Kliewer on my instant buy author list. #booktok

So terrifying. The ending of this was as upsetting as the end of the film version of Stephen King’s “The Mist”.The hype is well-earned this book brings both strong social commentary and gore in full force to its narrative. Not for the squeamish or those who don’t want to self reflect. #booksky

So, I read this in a day. I liked the character of Junior so much more than what’s his face from Lights Out. I also appreciated that for a change it was the MMC with the messy family, and not our heroine. Also, super duper spicy. Would love to read more books like this minus the mob pieces. #booksky

Oh, man was this a fun read. It’s nice when the book matches the hype. I’ll be checking out the new movie in #Shudder this weekend for sure, and ordering the other two books in the series. #booksky

#RuthWare is back a vengeance! I’ve been reading RW faithfully since Cabin 10 came out and admittedly there have been hits (One Perfect Couple) and misses (It Girl 🤦‍♀️). This is absolutely a hit. I also want a spicy fan fiction version of this story like NOW! #booksky

As a Constant Reader for over 30 years, this one just simply wasn’t it. I love Holly, and the Robinson siblings, hell, I even tend to agree with King’s personal politics, but I think the harm the Chrissy character does outweighs the otherwise good points of this book. #booksky

Normally age gap romances give me the ick. Not this one! It’s hot like McSteamy and Little Grey. I will say, I am confused that this wasn’t marketed as being a sequel to, or part of the “Not in Love” universe. It took me a few chapters to realize why so many of the characters were familiar. #Booksky

I’ve been a fan of Megan Abbott since “The Fever” and have enjoyed many of her other works. Although “El Dorado Drive”, has elements of Abbott’s signature thrillers with almost entirely female characters, this one just doesn’t measure up to the intrigue of previous works “Dare Me” #booksky

Thanks, @booksinthefreezer.bsky.social, I literally added 90% of the books in today’s episode to my TBR. #booksky

This book was a lot of fun, and is perfect to be read while lounging in a chair near the body of water of your preference. The author did a pretty good job of balancing humor and horror, although I don’t know if all of the subplots were necessary. #booksky

My goodness this book. It’s absolutely the summer read that you need that no one is talking about. I don’t remember the last time that the ending of a book had me ugly-happy crying. What story! #booksky

My first Jeneva Rose book was last year’s Home Is Where The Bodies Are, which I finished in a single weekend. Her debut novel, The Perfect Marriage, is equally addictive. As a long-time domestic thriller reader, I don’t mind admitting I didn’t see the twist coming! #booksky
