Same when dehydrated. You'd think I would learn.

There's a band in my area (Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press) that covers it frequently at 21+ events and it gets the biggest reaction from the crowd!

Part of this is absolutely just preference, but I also think some of it's driven by habit/cultural expectations ("moving to the burbs is just what you do with kids"), as well as wanting to match their own childhood housing standard (size/yard) for a family residence, which is hard to find or $$$$.

I'm curious how those trend lines would look if you also segmented by where people grew up - I know a lot of adults who were city kids who stayed urban as their families grew, but those who tried city life for the first time as a young adult seem more likely to leave as their household expands.

Same! And I can definitely see the appeal of lifting it a bit to make it less annoying to get in and out.

Or at least in May the snow generally won't stick.

I narrowed it to those two because I am already used to something more book-sized than phone-sized so I think the Palma showing less text per page at would bug me but it would certainly travel well! I am less familiar with the other brands but enthusiastically recommend e-ink readers generally.

I've had a Kindle Paperwhite for 11 years and the lighting thing was a huge initial selling point. I'm looking for a non-Amazon version myself and the closest I've found are the Boox but I'm torn between the 6 and the 7.

This is incredible, thank you!

It depends on the hotel, but I find that places with good tubs (bigger or fancier than my own) tend to have a better than average cleaning/maintenance standard. In hotels where I'd feel less comfortable with the condition of a tub, it either doesn't exist or it's too small or shallow anyway.

Or at least warn people. Call it something like "our spin on fish & chips" so those who want the classic will know to pass and those who are still curious will read the description and at least be prepared for the sweet potato.

Start packing like making decisions on what you want to bring, or like actually putting things in a bag?

Did Eddie Bauer change something with their current version of these socks or did they just stop offering that category?

It was more of a joke that tourists/transplants would play on more recent tourists/transplants but it got out of hand.

Yes

I was walking home from the train and two little kids were standing at their front gate offering candy or stickers to everyone walking past, it was so charming!

Yeah, this didn't seem too strange to me, but the parties in question were generally hosted by larger groups of roommates with larger spaces. They were perfect for big nights like Halloween or NYE - enough people to make it really feel like a party but not the hassle of a bar/club.

I'm so sorry it was stolen, it's a great costume!

Same, and the assorted cold-weather gear makes it even cuter!

Or Yakety Sax.

It is pretty magical! Mine does a whole Adults Night Out series - there are three over the summer with different themes (beer, wine and games), one near Halloween, and one in December for the lights. I went to the summer beer one for the first time this year and it was a blast!
