I think you misunderstood my frustrations with the same problem (as someone that has also been hit by someone turning right on red and had countless near misses). It's ridiculous that it's allowed because it's impossible to do both

Can't look for pedestrians on your right if you have to look left to avoid getting hit by other cars🙄ugh

It's one of the most common places for pedestrian injuries and fatalities to occur... Us refusing to abolish it literally costs people their lives. It's so infuriating and if you refuse to take a right on red I guarantee that you'll have someone behind you honking for you to go every time.
