There has been no rewriting but precisely the opposite. The court has clarified the meaning of the Act following longstanding rules of statutory interpretation. If you want someone to blame, take it up with Stonewall whose years of deliberate misrepresentation led directly to this.

This is nonsense. FWS had *already* been given permission to appeal to the Supreme Court. Therefore, their case clearly WAS arguable. You are a KC and you should know how getting to the SC works. If 3 KCs said this to you that is deeply worrying, and displays a level of unacceptable ignorance.

Melanie Field was a policy officer and had no part in drafting the Equality Act. That was done by Parliamentary draftsmen. She left the EHRC after the failed attempt to oust Kushwer Falkner on spurious grounds. Anything Ms Field says should be treated with scepticism.

2. Ask the judge to write to the CEO asking for an explanation, and pointing out this is a form of contempt of court.
