I don’t know who needs to hear this but if you’re tired of the google AI popping up in your searches, adding profanity will ensure it stays out of your query results.

The interdisciplinary research at NASA/NOAA is the envy of the world. Defunding them hamstrings American scientists and ruins our prestige, how is this making America great?
BREAKING from @science.org: The Trump admin is seeking to kill nearly all climate research at NOAA, its climate science agency.

Its near-final budget proposal would end all NOAA research labs, academic institutes, and regional climate centers. And it wants to fully end the NOAA Research division.

Remember when I said they’d come for climate people using the same methods they used for trans health care?

Remember when I said they’d take all our science and fact and put it in scare quotes and try to claim our field of study — on the fate of the planet — was illegal?

It’s happening now.

This is absolutely insane. And unbelievably cruel. I am trying to imagine how I would have felt if my student visa was revoked, for no good reason.

Thought I’d share the ice cave we found at our Filo site, the stream flowed through a high and narrow valley, giving it just enough shade to persist without completely melting away ⚒️❄️🥼🧪

While they're called the Dry Andes, this section of the range is home to a few oases. This marshy vega was the watering hole for some horses, goats, and guanacos during field work last March. These waters, will supply San Juan Province throughout the year ⚒️ #landscapes

This textbook example of a rock glacier is one of the many cryogenic landforms I'm using to evaluate alpine permafrost extent in the Dry Andes. While not as visually striking as regular glaciers, I think they're beautiful in their own unique way. 🥼❄️⚒️
