since caught up with the new release and suffice to say this is FASCINATING. there's a LOT of things being set up here not just in this storyline itself but for the future and i can Feel the ripples this is gonna make. this rules. wishing yall the best in the meantime!!!

might just be me being forgetful or it's something we're gonna learn about in the other 2 parts, but have we any idea who these 'martyrs' are meant to be? my first thought was the 3 paladin souls being kept in the underworld during the cocytus barracks saga given the faces, but i'm not sure...

been really liking the use of lorekeepers in recent releases to help with reintroducing and providing additional lore that might otherwise be hard to deliver!! thank you for the hard work o7

--from (almost) the very start upon descending upon lore. it really only makes their fuck ups more fascinating and terrible by comparison, and i could definitely see Notha making the argument that their inherent divinity and distance from humanity makes them unfit to rule...god the WRITINGGGG!!!

YEAH YEAH YEAH plus it fits into both games' lore too what with the DF avatars being constructs deliberately created from a higher being and thus find it harder to think their commands not being absolute, while AQW avatars seemingly Came Into Being and were heavily influenced by their champions--

it really feels like malgor and AoR has changed the hero a lot, and i like it a lot as well! between having to confront their own pains and traumas paired with how the world is both lifting them up and dehumanising them, it really feels like they're coming to terms with what they are here.

i guess the entire trend we're seeing with the age of ruin saga is a big win for notha too, given the whole 'destroy the status quo to create a new one'....she fr would've cheered at malgor's monologue at fiamme about the avatars' incompetence huh LMAO
