It just occurred to me that if anything like Trump happened in most of America's allied countries, there would be a general strike and the whole place would be shut down. Why aren't most Americans on strike? Are they waiting for him to start tearing down *their* house too?

Or, as ChatGPT puts it, “one might argue that LLMs resemble an idealized version of the most literal savants: trained not through lived experience, but via exposure to massive language patterns without context”. What if: Biden first diagnosed with PC years ago & receiving treatment for it since before 2020? Mental problems as in debate due to chemo brain fog? Ended 2024 campaign due to worsening prognosis? Decision to run both times: self-sacrifice to thwart Trump's un-American authoritarianism? US hero?

The big mistake being made by MAGA, DOGE, and many on the right is in forgetting that our government is first and foremost *of the people*. That is, by firing a bunch of government workers in order to benefit the American people, you are actually *firing American people*, and we don't like it.

The debunked “plan” to show the tariff cost next to the prices on Amazon's product pages is actually a very good idea that every affected business should consider. I think it would increase profits. I'm writing this as both a long-time Amazon customer and a small-time Amazon shareholder.

In Ukraine, war may be part of the solution. The problem is contradictory: (1) Ukraine is not Russian and shouldn't be controlled by Putin, and (2) Ukraine is Russian and should be controlled by Putin. Since there is no logical solution, all that remains is some sort of capitulation.

Serious question: I get an unending series of texts from politicians from other states asking for money, but don't get notifications about coming anti-authoritarian demonstrations in my area. How do I get notified about them? I'm retired so I have time, but always find out too late to participate
