You're like scarily good at writing metaphors.

He was right.

Okay, I originally read your post as "worse middle", not "midler". Whoops...

Wait until you see what happened in this afternoon's poll.

And some of the yuppiest production of all time, you gotta love it.

It was also ironically enough the only 2010s YE to not feature Maroon 5.

"Just Like Fire" is a pretty lousy song, but I find it a bit over-hated, I can honestly say that I find at least ten 2016 YE hits worse than it.

I saw that the playlist was updated, and the next round might just be *EVEN MORE* stacked.

F for "Frozen".

Speaking of 1992, would "Jump Around" still maybe be on your worst list?
September 30, 2025 at 11:02 PM
Like, you could've convinced me that "Envy Me" by CalBoy was that popular, and I would've believed you on that before I would've believed you on "Close To Me".
September 29, 2025 at 8:03 PM
I remember when you were posting the Round #58 polls, and while I remembered that song, I didn't think that it was popular enough to almost rank in the top half of the YE for one of the most transformative years for popular music of my lifetime.

We were too harsh towards 2022... (I'm still not ready to say that about 2023, though.)

I didn't intend to imply that any exploration of dark ideas is a secret confession, I'm just gonna be more skeptical of songs that are as blunt about it as D4vd was. It's one thing to have a song like "Kill Bill" that's clearly satirical, but "Romantic Homicide" played it too straight in retrospect.
September 20, 2025 at 2:01 PM
For the record, this isn't me calling anyone an idiot, but most of those "you're dead to me" songs don't have a line like "in the back of my mind, I killed you, and I didn't even regret it". I wouldn't have guessed that this would happen, but I'm gonna be more skeptical of songs like these now.

He also lied about his age publicly, there's no way that he's innocent.
