Since he became president in 2017, I have always thought that Trump was mentally unable to perform his duties and should be removed from office using the 25th amendment or impeachment. His mental capabilities have clearly declined and he has become much more dangerous. Time to clean up on aisle 47 - starting with regaining control of the house and senate...

President Trump complains that judges from all over the country are preventing him from doing what he wants to do. He will never understand that this is exactly the role our justice system has in our society, to prevent criminals from doing what they want. The supreme court has allowed presidents a lot of leeway in performing their official duties, but Trump will never uphold the rule of law, as all presidents swear to do, and many of his recent actions have never been and hopefully will never be, among the duties of a legitimate president. His recent executive order pretending to 'unleash' the military and police to pursue civilian criminals is preparation for the fascist police state he and his thugs crave. These incompetent attempts to subvert democracy must be fought at every turn.

The respected German newspaper "Die Zeit" published an article yesterday that started with the following quote; "Raphael Glucksman, a french member of the EU parliament demanded that the US give the statue of liberty back to France because they; 'are on the side of Tyrans. We gave her to you as a gift, but you obviously despise her.'" Apologies for the translation, but he's right. We don't deserve her anymore.

It is excruciatingly slow, but the brilliance of the american constitution is beginning to reveal itself - again. The original idea was to have three branches of government that work together to serve the people, but work independently to prevent any one of them from gaining too much power. President Trump is currently completely out of control. The legislative branch has temporarily abdicated its power to the president, but the judicial branch is beginning to use it's power to stop and reverse Trumps illegal decisions and actions. I am hopeful that their efforts will not be too little or too late...

Ya, sure wouldn't want to live in Germany with; universal health care, 18 months of paid leave for new parents, free education thru college, 40+ days of paid vacation for everyone, and world class beer and bread. What kind of idiot would want that?

I know it is a pipe dream, but I hope somebody is keeping track of how much money the current administration is spending trying to defend clearly illegal executive orders and administrative decisions. Whether this unnecessary expense will be more or less than any serious measure of the fraud, abuse, and waste that they claim to be finding will remain unknown until honesty returns to the government, certainly not for the next four years.

Trump 1.0 and his political thugs falsely accused the Biden administration, without any evidence, of weaponizing the department of justice. Clearly, the problem was not the idea of misusing the justice department to achieve political goals, it was that Trump was not able to prsonally profit from the deals. Trump 2.0 makes it clear that the pursuit of justice is now on the auction block. Getting rid of some pesky prosecutors makes america safer - for his criminal friends.

So, now it's clear. Trump will falsely claim that he is effectively fighting crime, inflation, pollution, and disease by eliminating the government services (FBI, Federal Reserve, EPA, CDC) that monitor these problems. Too many upitty minorities? Shutdown the department of education. Too many black and brown people? Deport them all. Too many poor people? Let them die of disease and hunger. Nobody can say they didn't know...

Our favorite presidential felon released more than 1500 dangerous criminals on day one. According to his campaign promises, and their proven patriotism, they will clearly start helping the federal government protect us from the invasion by hungry babies at the southern border as well as setting up new chicken farms to help decrease the price of eggs. More probable, he now has a large group of independent storm troopers, practiced in violence against any perceived enemies of their dear leader. We could call them the Security Squad, SS for short - perfect!
