The company has been restructured as a Nintendo subsidiary responsible for the ancillary-use business tied to films that feature Nintendo Intellectual Property (IP). Nintendo has announced two upcoming films for theatrical release: a new animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros. to be released on April 3, 2026, and a live-action film based on the world of The Legend of Zelda to be released on May 7, 2027. By implementing and licensing various ancillary uses in films, Nintendo Stars Inc. aims to familiarize people around the world with Nintendo IP and provide new ways to experience it. In addition, Nintendo Stars Inc. will continue its ancillary-use business of the Kirby franchise, which WARPSTAR, Inc. has been engaged in. By utilizing the know-how cultivated in this business, Nintendo Stars Inc. aims to expand the number of people who have access to Nintendo IP through cooperation with partners around the world, and strengthen the relationship between Nintendo and its customers.

The original Dragon Quest logo was designed by former Banana Grove Studio head Kazuo Enomoto, mostly known as the likeness for the god of poverty Binbogami from Hudson/Konami's Momotaro Dentetsu.
The dragon was designed by Akira Toriyama, but that only applies to this original 1986 logo.

Since I love collecting questionable analogies for LLMs, here's a new one I just came up with: an LLM is a lossy encyclopedia. They have a huge array of facts compressed into them but that compression is lossy (see also Ted Chiang). The key thing is to develop an intuition for questions it can usefully answer vs questions that are at a level of detail where the lossiness matters. This thought sparked by a comment on Hacker News asking why an LLM couldn't "Create a boilerplate Zephyr project skeleton, for Pi Pico with st7789 spi display drivers configured". That's more of an lossless encyclopedia question! My answer: The way to solve this particular problem is to make a correct example available to it. Don't expect it to just know extremely specific facts like that - instead, treat it as a tool that can act on facts presented to it.
