Endorsed, both as a scientist concerned with science integrity and as current research scientist at the Center for Open Science (albeit on the research side, so I don't do much / any work on OSF.io itself).

You can bet that the team behind OSF is on it.

If you find yourself on x-twitter occasionally through sheer force of habit, then do what I did:

Logging out of the service so that I confronted the login screen upon arrival was the only extra barrier I needed to disrupt auto-pilot and stop using the platform.

Step one - take the app off your front screen
Step two - delete the app from your phone
Step three - Need to log in to access
Step four - Definitely not doing password reset to recover access
Problem solved!

If your research could be affected by such policies, you can use OSF or similar services to post a preprint with a CC-BY license to ensure it is accessible to everyone:

osf.io/preprints

OSF is open source, free-to-use, and maintained by @cos.io a 501(c)3 charity.

Don't wait until you get a request; write your policy now.

If you get such a request, reject it on those stated policy grounds.

At the very least, you're giving cover to the scientists subject to this nonsense.

If they want to go after you directly or through your publisher, make them.

Thing you can actually, tangibly do: Make a clear policy statement that your journal policies are not subject to and will not be impacted by the recent request for retractions.

Because there is no scientific or integrity grounds for these requests, there will be no compliance with these requests.
