yeah i had this thought like.. no one knows what death is anymore. War loses a LOT of its power and threat. trying to figure out if her attacks arent as effective (but why does pochita gets split in two and then just gets better. more interesting visually?) or just like you said, pochita power up.

i generally dont like asaden as a direction with all the events that transpired but I dont feel the romantic overtones in this case Like sure, a world where we can lead a normal life might have a loaded 'we' but this generally feels less love plot and more rejecting the two choices of death or war.

That's how he gets you, this one will be real! But not deadly, asa lobotomy that kills the yoru side of her brain and it's just asa from here on out with not other side effects, just as planned!

Ripped to shreds and then calmly putting herself back together. But ultimately I kinda agree. 'lemme make you happy' kinda sucks after everything that's happened recently, even if it's some asa wants to do. We shall just see how it plays out when the two talk. Fujimoto.. please..

i think the immediacy is not 'true love conquers all' i think we'll get the parallel to the original falling arc and asa's version of denjis shit sandwich speech. recent chapters and fujimoto pointing out denjis flaws in the narrative have led me to kinda trust his vision more.

I know there's been some gripes in the pacing, but I'm hoping we're getting a point where things slow down a bit and we can see these character moments. Let things breathe and let the next month in the story feel like that. But we'll see!

I'm coping, maybe, but I'm hoping that this can still be explored. I think it's an interesting point that despite everything that's happened, asa:s first concern is what yoru can still do that's worse. We just need to see if asa keeps control and if they broach these topics.

I think (or hoping) it's Denjis naive perspective of being able to befriend a devil: pochita, power, nayuta. I think it'll be a great moment if these two can talk about how bad your has been. I think there's something to work with there, we just need these two to talk more. Aka yoru, fucking leave.

100% I get there's been some mirroring, but we've seen that already. plus the death devil has been looming overhead as the ultimate foe. I get there was the whole gun devil is the big bad guy- oops all makima! but i dont want to see that here again with yoru.

to use a wrestling term, its go away heat. i dont wanna root for her downfall, i dont want to see the comeuppance. i just want her to stop, go away, and let denji and asa talk lol

I think i might feel different reading this all back, or with the entirety of the story told but right now its just eh.

yeah, im in agreeance. definitely hoping more for asa then just that. And the whole denji becomes a weapon thing seems like its being set up to not be the case but I can't really see what it would be instead - which is fine. But I've usually been able to trust the process. This just kinda drains.

is it coping to be like 'surely fujimoto has a plan?' or is that just wishful thinking? Like 'this is how devils play' doesnt 'work' cause even yoru admitted she was blending a bit with asa. I feel like something needs to give here and someone push back (denji or asa taking back over). Not great atm

To be kinda corny, which kinda fits with fujimoto, your won't get her cake and eat it too. Too makima like: calling Denji her dog, cakes involved, bang on someone 'close' to Denji. Think it'll all start falling apart for her here. We'll see, though. Been wrong before!

Hmm. Everything aside from the 'romance' (getting tired of the gag, would like to see Denji actually stand up for himself but different convo), I think this mirrors the end of part one (a consistent thing, mirroring story beats), but the cliffhanger makes me think it'll play out different.

today was a two step process: anxiously wait for chapter to drop, excitedly wait for fangy's reaction. happy new year!
