Big dogs are not my thing, but couldn’t help but try to corral this dude and his brother/sister (?) after seeing a post about them roaming the neighborhood. Thanks to fellow good Samaritan Kevin for lending his yard!

Relieved it was a happy ending!

Fighting seasonal depression one walk at a time. While I’m not a fan of fall/winter, I can appreciate the photo ops. 🍂

Find My feature is also tormenting me 🥲. I saw them at the theater and contacted them, only to be told nothing was found. Tonight I see them out in Manchester, MO. I will write them a letter I suppose.

Now it is 12:30am, and I am still tormented by my lost Airpods.

Back of vestment here, along with altar piece.

I attended the most beautiful celebration of life this weekend for my partner’s aunt. She was a talented artist, and there were physical reminders everywhere: all the woven hangings in this picture, the runner for the altar,a sweater her daughter wore, and even the priest’s vestment. (1/2)

Back in April, I arranged to have our house insulated. It was a lot of work researching, getting bids, scheduling, people making huge holes our walls, moving stuff in the basement, etc.

But every time it’s really hot or cold (like now 🥶) and the house is still comfy, oh, the satisfaction I feel! 😮‍💨

Today we went outside even though it was 20 degrees out. Sounds like nothing, but it’s probably the longest stretch I’ve been outdoors in weeks.

Sadly, it’ll be in the single digits again tomorrow and Wednesday. Who likes winter again?

Hard to find good news these days, but yesterday was over 50 degrees in STL, the snow is melting, and I played pickleball at a public park with four lovely strangers.

Find your joy wherever you can in this hellscape Trump (and his supporters) are forcing us to live through.

Feeling deep fatigue on this Sunday 🥱. How do we all do this each and every week?!

A couple of small wins to keep me going:

☀️ The sun is out and it’s above freezing in STL!
🥳 Foster dog got adopted!
🧺 Laundry is doable again after clogged pipe got fixed.
🍽️ Had amazing meal at Bar Moro

We have a lot of cottontail rabbits in our neighborhood and the coolest thing about untouched snow on the ground is seeing these bunnies’ lives! Their footprints were cute of course, but I did not expect this much bunny poop (all those dots) and pee everywhere!

It’s always a little sad to put away the Christmas decorations, but we’re all done now, the robot vacuum is hard at work cleaning, and I am deeply content my 2025 won’t begin with house work. 😌

As a sassy teen, I am sure I berated my parents for being excited about something like a vacuum. Now here I am at 37watching with wonder as my brand new robot vacuum cleans my home!
