Tonight it's Terraforming Mars with the kid and boy am I liking this considerably more than TM AE. The map and tiles add so much more depth here than AE.

Last turn begins, first battle of Helmstedt. NATO attacking grid square 4 objective. Eliminated 2x dug-in t64 platoons. One beleaguered dismounted Marder 1 platoon sits on the objective. Full strength supporting t64 company has reached the AO. Can the good guys hold out? Not without a lot of luck

My fam has been like, "What's this wargaming all about?" I'm using The Arduous Beginning as a teach-n-play. Great little wooden arrows from Cube4me and little dice to show the odds per battle. Not too complicated when you "break it down visually" for folks.

Welp, I went and got Final Girl. Wow, what a system. For my first... stab at it ... I'm trying The Rachet Lady, Wolfe Asylum and Heather. Seems perhaps not a great intro to the game. Lots of moving parts here.
