Countless people in the crowds were left gravely injured their bodies scorched by burns, their faces torn open by rubber bullets, their lungs choked with tear gas fired point-blank. Some were even struck with injectors. The police did not stop at the protesters. They unleashed their weapons into residential neighborhoods, where small children cried and families cowered in terror. The demonstrations in Indonesia are being crushed with a level of brutality and sadism that cannot be ignored. Protesters are being turned into victims, entire communities left in fear. Our own government is waging war against its civilians and no one among us is safe. Every piece of evidence will be shown and shared below. Every photograph, every testimony, every proof of this horror. Let the world witness what is happening here. Let there be no denial, no cover-up, no forgetting. The evidence will speak, and it will reveal the truth that our people are being brutalized, and our cries for justice can no longer be ignored. We represent the frustration especially workers who are demanding that our government finally listen. For too long, people have been struggling under unfair systems: low wages, exploitative outsourcing, and weak labor protections. These policies enrich a few while leaving millions of workers vulnerable and underpaid. When we take to the streets, it is not out of recklessness, but out of necessity. We want to be heard. We want change. Here are some points we demand this fuckass government listen to: 1. Labor Rights and Economic Grievances: The primary driver of this protests led by the HOSTUM movement (Hapus Outsourcing, Tolak Upah Murah, meaning "Eliminate Outsourcing, Reject Low Wages"), was opposition to outsourcing practices and low wages. Workers, organized by groups like the Labour Party and the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI), demanded better working conditions and fair pay, reflecting widespread frustration with economic policies that favor employers over workers. 2. Government Budget Cuts: Protests were fueled by public anger over $19 billion in spending cuts announced by President Prabowo Subianto's administration. These cuts, affecting areas like travel, consultants, training, and stationery, were perceived as threatening social support systems, exacerbating economic hardshin for manv Indonesians. Military Cronyism and Political Power Consolidation: A new law passed in March 2025 expanded civilian roles for military officers, raising fears of a return to military-backed cronyism reminiscent of the Suharto era. Issues such as corruption, budget mismanagement, and policies seen as undermining democracy (e.g., electoral law changes linked to former President Joko Widodo's allies) drove students, workers, and civil society to demonstrate. This blackout is not just censorship but it's a fucking violence in another form. They're trying to erase our voices, erase our struggle, erase the proof of their brutality. We refuse to be silenced. We need the world to know: in Indonesia right now, workers and ordinary citizens are being attacked for standing up for justice. AGAIN. WE DEMAND YOUR ATTENTION.
