I have given up. I will be finishing the main game storyline for the sake of completion but this is just too bad.

This experience has made me want to play MMOs again though so I'll return to XIV on a new character and see how that goes.

That said the WORST thing about this game is the minimal one-screen side locations holy shit I hate them SO much.

I get excited I get to visit a new locale only for it to be a single static vista with one music record... WHY COULDN'T THESE BE PLACES IN THE AREAS THAT EXIST ALREADY

The world map bosses are worlds apart in difficulty from the main story and I appreciate that, as well as being able to explore side-areas. The soundtrack is good but not particularly unique.

The thing I like the most is the French voice acting's quality, which is saying something about the game.

I do not care for *any* of these innumerable NPCs, all the random deaths are supposed to feed into the war casualty-like feeling but they just don't land at all. It just didn't build ANY investment into any of them. It all feels... off

For all the shit final fantasy xiv gets sometimes, I have to be fair with it and admit that it lowkey mogs GW2's...

It does have fantastic worldbuilding elements and the setting is quite charming but good god the entire Orr arc is *so* bad

i thought guild wars wasn't an anime game but bro's got more shounen protagonist flags than any character in final fantasy xiv what the fuck
