In 2018 work, we showed that, during the 2010 financial crisis, when an alternative currency (SARDEX) was introduced in Sardinia, cycles allowing the flow of debt/credit among firms were associated with higher performance of firms and the network as a whole. www.nature.com/articles/s41... 16/

Our new work with @shiv-vs.bsky.social, Selena T Lee, Yanick Charette, & @giosifid.bsky.social examined multiplex network ties in 174 Honduras villages (including both social and economic ties among villagers) to explore the association of a person appearing on more cycles with their wealth. 8/
