The EU's AI Action Plan is coming out today.

Last year, only 3 notable AI models were developed in Europe - all of them in France.

The AI Action Plan will seek to reverse this trend. It will be an uphill battle.

I'll be sharing some preliminary thoughts once the Plan is out.

An excellent explainer on the US Stargate project, with my comments about what this means for Europe's AI ambitions:
U.S. President Donald Trump unveiled a half-trillion-dollar project to build the infrastructure needed to cement U.S. AI dominance in the years to come, starting with a data center in Texas.
Trump’s $500B AI plan is ‘slap in the face’ for Europe

In our newest piece, me and Jose-Ignacio Torreblanca lay down three challenges that Europeans can expect from Trump and Musk in tech.

We argue that Europe could seek to strike deals, playing on the heightened interest of the US to constrain China's AI and chips industry.
