I've run the gist with the extreme example using the androidx benchmark library and even the memory savings are not significant.

Note: Used an emulator and the default config for the Microbenchmark.

Thanks for sharing this, the results are very interesting. I was under the same impression that sequences were more performant.

In your example the sequence seems to be slower but maybe with less memory overhead?
