Infrastructure should be as easy to use as possible. Randomly changing the name of a station with no warning is not helpful. It may not be a huge tourist town but it is one of the most important connections for people living or travelling in south Manchester. Wouldn't make it ok, even if it wasn't.

Absolutely accept UK is over-centralised but not sure this is the solution. Buildings are important. Not completely against the idea of a better-designed, purpose-built parliament somewhere. But it would need to be an impressive representation of our democracy and I'm not sure we're capable of that.

Fair question but very different from saying that Parliament should be somewhere cheaper outside London. Moving the capital should not be a money saving exercise.

No, because the building represents the people. And by having it at the heart of the capital we are saying that the people are at the heart of the country. By moving it out of London we are saying money matters more.
