I can see a move like this benefiting both teams. There would be more involved.

Personally I see LA has a great fit. They seem to play a style that both would fit really well. Something around……..

Personally I would like to see the Habs give Montembeault a break. He hasn’t ever been this busy in any other season.

Personally, I would trade all 5 of the UFA’s (Evans, Armia, Dvorak, Savard and Pezzetta). I don’t see the need to keep any of them.
I do see the need for a #2 centre. So I would move them.

Before Evans break out season (first 40 games this season) would anyone have considered him a great 4th liner? Really he’s be ok throughout his career but I don’t consider him to be great or irreplaceable! Trade him.

I would love to see Hughes make some cap space by trading Gallagher. Add some picks and prospects and along with Gally and see if someone would bite. For some reason I think the Jets might be the team.

Hughes should be adding to this team. Give them a shot at making the playoffs and make a little run!!! Dvorak is not adding much to this group. An upgrade on Dvo would be welcomed.

Habs 3rd and 4th lines are full off guys that are way over paid already. No need in adding to this!!! Gallagher, Anderson, Armia, Dvorak already all making $3.4 per and up that Hughes is having a hard time moving! Don’t add Evans to this!!!

Keeping Evans is a mistake!! Habs need to seize the opportunity and get top value. Newhook is a centre, Owen Beck, Oliver Kapanen and Michael Hage!!! Evans is an over priced 4th line that they don’t need!!!

Nope they made these kind of mistakes in the past with Gallagher, Armia, etc. Evans is a good player on a bad team. Where would he be on a cup contender?

If I were a Kent Hughes he would have already been moved. Savard has value to a playoff team and he would be shipped and moved asap. If Savard gets hurt he’s of no value to anyone. GM’s should always remember that.

If that’s the case then Hughes better address the lack of toughness on the Habs! Habs are soft team and they need toughness badly!! Needed it for a long time but this just proves it!!

I agree with you regarding Dobes. I think this is short term until they are able to make a trade for a backup. I think we will see a new backup in Montreal within a week.
