Yet because she’s a cute tomboy, most people fall in love with her, despite her having such little personality other than “Genki Girl” that might as well be her name!
So yeah, in conclusion, Nintendo needs to remember to keep Metroid games light on dialogue.

This is what makes Otacon work for me while I see why Metroid Prime 4 guy and, say, Navi, can get annoying. I will agree with my WHOLE ASS though that female tutorial NPCs get given an easier time. Monster Hunter World’s handler is cute but DAMN GIRL SHUT UP. I found her annoying most times.

In a video game, factors are added in. Is it a tutorial character? If so, they need to be careful how often they yap lest you annoy players in awe of a new game. Do you need to escort them? Are they in a generally dialogue-light game? And, yes, sadly, how pretty are they (though I don’t care)?

On the other hand, I have seen girl characters try to girlboss their way into being awesome badasses who chain of command everything… but who keep making the wrong decisions which makes them annoying because they should know better because they got to be high-ranking in the first place.

See, to me it depends on how much of a professional the bumbling weirdo is supposed to be overall. Otacon is charming despite pissing himself because he’s not SUPPOSED to be seeing any action: he’s a mech engineer, not a soldier. I would also be horrified and bumbling at the dight of super soldiers.
