Trump refused to call the National Guard on January 6 and lied about it under oath. In DC there are only two people who can deploy the guard, the president and the secretary of defense. These are the 14 times they denied the guard on January 6.

This is what happens when a coup succeeds. They didn’t need to win on the day itself.
The leaders knew that the system was fragile & cowardly enough to never truly hold them all accountable. All they needed was to fight from within the system itself.
