I hate when my historical research is relevant. The GI Rights Hotline has a history going back to before its 1994 founding by a network of peace activists after the Gulf War. GI counseling has been a cornerstone of peace activism since the Vietnam War. Some of the same ppl are still doing it. 🗃️

Last week, I said goodbye a staff member from Venezuela who has to leave the US. I comforted a staff member from India who canceled her plans to visit her parents because she is afraid she and sons would not be allowed back in the US. Wonder what week nine of this regime from hades will bring.

I just want to scream in anger and cry in sadness. I work at a school with a large international population of staff and students. In an area with 3 major research universities. 2 of those have major cancer centers. Area with many multi national corporations where parents of many students work.
