We get them on our elderberries. They are ferocious. Even spiders stay away from them. Bites feel like an incomplete bee sting.

I've only seen one in my life. Pretty startling to see in the wild. We get quite a few tiger swallowtails on the farm. Our wet areas tend to have a lot of Joe Pye weed which apparently attracts them. We see the caterpillars on our dill.

My deepest sympathies. Hubby and I caught a virus six weeks ago. Only now am I starting to feel more like myself. It's a bad one. Don't be discouraged. It will subside. Rest when you need to. Take care of yourself.

If you want to be depressed, reread To Kill a Mockingbird and see how little has changed over the years. That book could have been written last week.
