Kickstarting a foodie weekend with lunch at QBao in #Cardiff. I had the beef ribs noodle soup and it was delicious. Made a slight tit of myself trying to drink the broth with the big wooden ladle but could you blame me?

If you like Zapiekanka (Polish open sandwiches), I tried and loved Big Mamma’s sandwich shop on Cowbridge Road East in Cardiff today! It was absolutely delicious and Big Mamma is a brilliant character! We loved her! 😊 🇵🇱

Tried this #japchae from Starty Mart - it’s super fast ti to and the flavour is good but the noodles mostly broke up on heating and texture was a bit gloopy. Good to try but probably won’t buy again. 5/10.

80 years after the rest of you, I finally got my hands on an M&S big daddy pistachio.
And… underwhelm. Not pistachio-y enough and far too sweet for my unfortunately. 😢

For me, it was a rainy night in Seoul, 2018. We ate pork bbq under a canopy, surrounded by locals who’d just got off work. The food was stunning, the atmosphere amazing and I don’t think I’ve ever felt that happy.

Tried Brownie God for the first time yesterday. Looks dry, is anything but. Absolutely delish but not cheap but a lovely treat!

Made a kinda lazy bouilliabasse tonight.
Started by frying garlic & onions with fennel seeds, saffron and smoked paprika before adding stock & toms. After some bubbling away, I added cooked new potatoes, fish pie mix + prawns and topped with fresh basil until fish was cooked.

Lovely sunshiny food at the Sundial Kitchen in Totterdown.
Falafel bowl for me with halloumi, picked red cabbage and garlicky flat breads. The potato rosti with kale, eggs and feta also looked delicious!

Every few months we take our little boy to Pizzarova for dinner after nursery. He loves it. Tonight he chose one of the pizza’s toppings (olives, ham and pesto) and told me it was the best pizza he’s ever had. And I think he’s right. Our 3 yr old has good taste. 🍕 😋
