I think in some of the gameplay they showed the game dropped to sub 30 fps when Bond shot an explosive barrel.

That said I still feel grace is required. It is very common for devs big and small to jump on the new tech hype fad without considering ethical concerns and the true test is usually how they respond to it.
My hope is they cut it out of there development process.
Only time will tell though.

Oh, I think your right and that is a reasonable outlook on what happened but also that genAI use was know back around the games launch and only a french outlet questioned them on it.
I want to know why much of game media (english language) failed to meet the moment and confront them.

What exactly does that achieve. The point is to get them to change. Therefore you do give them grace and make the problem with their work clear under good faith they hear the message and change.

It is the double edge sword of boycotting it. A lot of critics that would have given it more critical eye sat it out for valid and commendable reasons.
I think personally I would prefer if critics review morally questionable media as long as it informs the review.
That said not everyone agrees.

I feel like a good number of people have been really focused on the western use of AI and have not been paying attention to a bunch of the interviews with Japanese devs were they are quite keen on AI.
Hell even Kojima is like "We can use it to cut on the boring stuff" or something to that effect.

I played Cold Steel 1 and 2 before any of the other games.
I can tell you without a doubt that I would have never played Sky of my own volition if those game didn't get me invested.

Fair enough, I personally don't mind hearing others opinions while forming my own. I just think if it was bothering me while playing a game I'd like to know but everyone is different.

I think a lot of people grew up with an unhealthy relationship with competition and winning. I think the backlash to any attempts to fix it (such as participation trophies) is pretty informative of the mindset that if it didn't WIN was it really a good game, coming runner up is for losers.

They relied on a writer who is kinda bad since Yakuza 7.
There are still nuggets of good stuff in there but it is frustrating mid at points.
They made awful narrative additions to Yakuza 0 in the directors cut.
They also hire a sex pest for the Yakuza 3 remake.
So yeah I wince.

They lie a lot, I think the biggest lie is the idea that you can just upgrade single components. I think everytime except once I've had to completely replace everything.

I find people that do hit that 11 are often people that are less honest about there mental health. My dad would explode in stressful experiences in an airport because he was scared of flying but had to be a manly man.
Seeing the similarities in my anxiety made all his behaviour make sense.
