Yesterday was V-J Day, celebrating the end of World War 2 in it’s last theater, Japan. Two atomic bombs were dropped on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, devastating the skyline as it evaporated anything within a 2 mile radius. Days after, Japan surrenders.

Back in the 1960s a new Government program was created. Job Corps. Job Corps is a program to help poor people get better jobs… like me. However, the Government wants to remove it, because screw poor people, right?

I’d like to take a moment to shine light on September 1944. The Polish resistance fought a losing battle with the Nazi Wehrmacht in the streets of Warsaw. They would fall, while Soviets were watching from over the river, powerless to help. Supplies from allied forces were lifted to aid, it failed.

Reform can be a good thing, I mean… look at Germany post 1991, or post 1945. Or France, after both Napoleons… and after their kings… and the English after their Civil War. Plus our own Civil War to free mankind from the bonds of Slavery.

Imma stop doing the ‘this day in history’ and mainly focus on major historical events. Such as the signing of the Declaration of Independence! Which separated us from a monarchy… which… we seemed to have gone back to… by vote… great. Our Founding Fathers are rolling in their graves.

On a much less brighter note, today in 1999, Columbine would get attacked by 2 gun men. Killing 13 and wounding 23. This would bring forth a new wave of gun regulation.
