A smelly rather than a sound for me. The smell of the static on the CRT screen after you turn it off. The feeling too!

You are welcome. Dogs are superior. Books are the best.

Omg I have a copy of this one as well. It was for a long time our 'go to' cook book. We bought a newer version, but it wasn't the same...

That will not be difficult, I'm English. 🤣. He will end up with a Yorkshire accent when I read it. 😎

Lovely. I still have my copy in a box of my old kids books (which I'm going through for books to read with my son) I might dig it out and try again. 😎🥰

Gonna need you to expound on this one. I have a copy of this book (same version) and despite trying to read it a couple of times I kept putting it down. Would love to hear why it's stayed with you?

I have a few go tos that have stood the test of time. Good Housekeeping - step by step cookbook. Jamie Oliver - 5 ingredient meals. Silver Spoon, Gary Rhodes - New British Classics. All cover slightly different bases depending on what I feel like cooking

Just finished the trilogy, read the first after seeing Silo. It's rare for me to enjoy all books in a trilogy equally, but I did. I'm also usually disappointed with endings, and this one was pretty good imo. Enjoy!

A Little Life - Hanya Yanahigari. Totally spontaneous airport purchase, not my usual type of book, but so far so great.
