Yes, they will normalize this but to be fair, religion has been normalizing the molestation and rape of children for a long time.

There are a lot of states that allow basically child brides, too. Doesn’t make it ok, just like it isn’t ok in other countries. So state laws, depending on who is making them and what it is rooted in (science vs religion) aren’t always reflective of what is “right”.

I’ll never forget reading a comment months ago that a woman’s husband started watching Fox just to make fun of it and see crazy things they were saying; a few months later, he was fully maga. She ended up divorcing him. That’s how insidious that propaganda is. You can’t let it into your brain.

Don’t get into this with them. It doesn’t matter where they draw some ambiguous line. In our country, anyone under 18 is a child. I’d argue that based on brain development, even 25 and younger, but I digress. Science on brain development and the law has spoken. Children cannot consent. Period.

They don’t really have to come out and say it. Vance is a technofascist groyper and he says very racist things all the time, but he doesn’t come out and say he’s a racist. So as long as they can lie to themselves, that’s all that matters.

Whether it’s a discussion about the sexualization of breastfeeding, or raping a woman while drunk, or teens wearing revealing clothing, it’s wild to me how men and women sexualize children and women when it’s wholly inappropriate, and make excuses for this on top of it. Wtf is wrong with people??

I have always been deeply disturbed how men AND women defend and reason rape and pedophilia. Over the years I’ve had to explain consent many, many times, in many an argument. I hate it.
