My family is Japanese. They were citizens for decades before they were moved to Manzanar. Would you like to see pictures of them hanging out in the desert? They lost everything. Yes, they are mostly gone now but a few in their 90's are still alive.

Where did I say that? I don't want to see people wrongfully deported. I just have a problem with comparing what is going on today to the Japanese Internment camps. It's personal.

I know that. And these people most likely won't have legal representation. Please explain why you think my response was bigoted. You have no idea what internment camps did to the Japanese Americans. I do.

All I know is that my relatives and friends were all citizens at the time. I am unaware of the full details.

Serious question. Why is the knee jerk reaction for MAGA to blame someone? All it does is put a hard stop to conversations when we all should be working together to find solutions that are mutually agreed upon.

No. It is not worse. The Japanese Americans were not criminals. They were citizens. They had to leave their homes behind. They lost everything in the prime of their lives. They were taken to desolate areas throughout the west and locked in like criminals.

Same. Grew up going to a Presbyterian Church in PA in the 70s. Fred Rogers was friends with our minister. He lived his life by true Christian values. What happened to that?
