@gtconway.bsky.social has this absolutely correct; Trump has always thot of himself as king & this is how he changes thinking: he drops phrases to influence thinking and it works. "Long live the king" will be verbalized by MAGA in no time, they'll do anything to keep him in power in 2028/9

Ryan, isn't the whole argument flawed bcz an EO is NOT LAW! Trump can sign all sorts of EOs; doesn't make them a law. EO's seem to be marketing strategies intended to influence thinking, then actions, and then law. There is only a narrow window of legal authority EOs seems to have

when people sink to calling someone a "moron," it's to deflect attention bcz most people react to being called names. Instead, pivot back to the point: "Elon, require body cams for DOGE employees like police wear to ensure your actions are legal & you're following court orders." If not, why not?

Trump is a masterclass in gaslighting -flipping the script. When he says "stop the steal" flip it: he means, "I am stealing the election." He accuses others of doing the things he thinks about doing. Look behind the words, and you'll find acknowledgment of what he wants to do.

this is good basis for lawsuit against the gov't for wrongful termination. The memo clearly explains why employees are being fired for doing what they were specifically directed to do & wrongfully defames them by naming them. Nearly a prima facia case. POTUS has 'immunity' the gov't does not.

FBI and all the other gov't employees need to file a class action employment lawsuit they are being targeted -- under President Woodrow Wilson who implemented merit based employment in the federal gov't, surely they can find a cause of action

no one is doing anything about this... when someone seizes power they have no authority to take, if the public accepts it, and does not resist (protests, takes to the streets and courts), then they have given up their power and in the end, the cry that "this is illegal" is muted, permanently.

Trump's a master at one thing: he's a word-smithing manipulator of language. He twists words to the opposite of facts using words to deflect attention from the truth. It works. "if it doesn't fit, you must acquit." it worked. "stop the steal," when he was the one stealing. it works.

all of this was only possible bcz Merrick Garland was afraid to act, afraid to do his job and hold DJT accountable. Garland should have acted swiftly, and the appeals process might have ended in time to have a trial.

looking forward to your analysis - where can we find that. The report ,makes it clear, Garland waited too long, Garland should have appointed someone immediately in 2021, and perhaps that extra 18 months could have brought the case to light. Cannon should have been forced off the case...
