When my emergency brake is engaged, I put the cap onto the gear shift so that I don't absentmindedly drive off without disengaging the e-brake.
Crocheted item from original post installed in my car - the small tube fits on the emergency brake, and the larger cap sits on the gear shift.

Made a thing. It does have a specific function, but I'd bet cash money nobody would be able to guess what that function is.
Crocheted item, on a plaid couch cushion, with a size G crochet hook laid in front to give an idea of scale. (Crocheted thing fits into an 11" x 7" rectangle with plenty of room left over.) A small tube - open at both ends, with one end curved inward to a smaller opening - is connected by a narrow strap to a larger, basket-shaped piece, all in a variegated pastel acrylic yarn.

Met a very tiny toad yesterday
