Nice capture of one of my favourite places on earth.

Nicely captured and processed, Keith. Great work on the colour palette. I completely agree on the jet black Boks, especially with that blue OIII background they're really striking.

I haven’t had to regrease the mount, actually, but the motherboard went to the great cpu in the sky and had to be replaced last fall. Pinching seems non problematic for now, but the refractor is new so time will tell. One has to tighten every bolt in the rig though and loosen before summer or else.

Tromsø is very nice around Christmas though. That’s when the humpback whales and the orcas are there as well, feasting on herring. Great place for whale watching.

Haha! I know! Last week I had -15C every night which messed up my dark library which were -15C 🤓. Come January I’ll be fighting -25C again for sure. Everything behaves differently at -25C, mount, bolts, cable, me and the mice get fearless.

Thanks, Keith! Had some really nice nights last new moon before the snow, so I stuck with it and collected as much as I could in order to use as little noise reduction as possible.

Cool! I do the same while also checking the satellite animation on sat24.com. Last night was just lucky though. Love it when that happens. Did you process in PI?

Nicely captured and processed, Keith. Congrats! What camera and scope? Being from Norway I understand your frustration with cloudy nights, but it does make it equally more exciting when the forecast is wrong, seeing is good and you get a 9hrs run of pure gold that you didn’t expect. Keep posting! 🚀
