Plan is in place for recovery…short term 8 weeks of meds, long term a year from when the itching stops completely.

Now that we have a plan for that I can move on to getting physically healthy…gaining muscle, improving mental health, and making time to do things that make me happy.

My goal of having answers will hopefully allow me to rid myself of itching and reduce inflammation in my body and joints. As a result my hopes are for higher energy levels and over all feeling better.

I’m documenting all of this for me but also with the hopes that maybe someone else going thorough something similar will have to courage to stand up for themselves in the medical world and get answers to their undiagnosed issues as well.

At my annual physical I let my Dr know and told her I wanted to be food allergy tested to find out what I’m actually allergic too that I’m eating and that I would like a referral. My dr happily gave me a referral and today after 18 years of self diagnosed food allergies, I’ll have some real answers.

August of 2024 I had COVID for the first time and despite being fully vaccinated and boosted was still down for a week and it took about 4 weeks to feel
‘Normal’ in November my skin started to get really itchy again. Not like dry skin itch but a deeper itch like when I had my first food allergy.

Jump forward a few years and I developed a garlic allergy…specifically to raw garlic but I’m
Careful with my over all consumption of garlic and try to void it. As it causes an anaphylaxis reaction and hives for days. Got an epi-pen (thank goodness I’ve never had to use it).

October 2023 - blood pressure recheck, smiling and joking around with my PCP during my appointment…happily agreeing to go on low dose BP meds to get that under control. PCP was amazed at my change in demeanor with only that small change in removing the IUD.

August 2023 - saw a new PCP and spent the entire appointment crying and saying that this wasn’t normal for me and that I was going to get my IUD removed before we did anything else.
End of August 2023 - OB removed my IUD…begrudgingly
Within two weeks I had completely stopped crying for no reason

July 2023- saw a psychologist, just to make sure they didn’t think something was really wrong with my head. Told them I wasn’t really interested in prescription meds first and just throwing a bandaid on the issue…gave them the chills because that’s not something they typically hear.

2022- told OB that I was crying all the time and didn’t feel like myself. Was told that I needed to talk to someone and recommended antidepressants…saying that it was normal to take a pill to feel normal.
