I've talked about how much I genuinely do enjoy expedition 33 but goddam the glaze that game got tonight lmao. Silksong not getting anything at all is also wild (since that's the better game) but makes sense since team cherry had already said they weren't even gonna be there

My most elitist mindset when it comes to game critique is that you can't properly critique a game if you haven't played it even if the critique is aimed entirely at just the story and writing

As a big fan of a lot of game composers, I still believe gamers don't deserve most of them.
Gamers need more atmospheric music for games so they can shut the fuck up and accept that BotW hyrule field is a good track actually

Shipping is probably one of the more interesting sides of modern day fandom, and that kinda has to do with how much people ignore to end up getting their desired conclusions and how they actually gaslight themselves into thinking it happened.

Being a minority does not absolve you of being bigoted towards other minorities, it's sad to see happen but it's increasingly common to see someone put others down in the same way they'd be put down by white cishet society. A circle of bigotry that just keeps feeding itself and growing

Art cannot truly thrive in modern day not because of some stupid idea that modern art is bad somehow (it's not) but because as soon as people find out it was inspired by something bad they'll just get on their high horse and act like it's morally wrong to make art out of that

It's kind of impressive how my uni managed to somehow make the last 2 days into an awkward mess of stress so effortlessly in like 5 minutes

I do actually think there's such a thing as being too stuck up about stuff when you reach the point that you start saying "this is only for amateurs unlike me" just because something is popular.

There is a large issue of people boiling down their love for things to just numbers. We can't enjoy or dislike things anymore without bringing up numbers cuz we are conditioned to this now. It's always the same "it flopped" over and over and "but it made this much!!!", no real discussions anymore
