My ouma was an incredible artist- humble and never had an exhibition or sold her work.
She had hundreds of paintings and ink brush artworks in her studio, which she created just for herself.

10 years since I made this😱 It's the first piece I ever had trending on artstation and I felt bittersweet about it because i knew it was popular for being Jinx rather than being a particularly good artwork. I think that's still true, it's not a great artwork and I'd paint her very differently today.
