COVID-19 isn’t over.

An estimated one in ten people have long Covid in the U.K.

Infection control isn’t being taken seriously by the Government or the NHS.

COVID-19 affects the brain, so is bad for your mental health.

Yes, this is a global crisis. It’s not just the US who have a problem.

Most of the public are oblivious though as the authorities don’t talk about it. For example, the authorities are happy to let COVID-19 harms get blamed on everything else.

It’s getting worse.

Large sections of the left started ignoring the pandemic in 2022 and they now have nothing to say about increasing levels of sickness and disability.

They (rightly) criticise welfare benefit cuts but offer no critique on how we got here.

‘Young people living with debilitating symptoms caused by long Covid feel abandoned. Kaylee, 17, a once promising gymnast, developed the virus on her 12th birthday & experiences dizziness & shortness of breath, causing her to miss school & give up the sport she loves’.

Long Covid is a massive issue.
March 18, 2025 at 2:52 PM
Despite what you’re being told this isn’t a U.K. only problem.

It’s true we may be in a worse position than other countries for many reasons, including austerity & ‘opening up’ before most other countries, but other countries also have a big long Covid problem.

Look at the US.

“Since the pandemic…” says Liz Kendall in her Commons statement.

That’s part of the problem. Labour won’t admit COVID-19 is still having a big impact.

COVID-19 can weaken the immune system, which means that people are getting ill more often.

Long term sickness is escalating.
March 18, 2025 at 2:49 PM
You won’t get long term growth in the economy unless you address the causes of illness and disability.

This is so obvious but most politicians are ignoring it.

I was pleased this was raised by Professor Danny Altmann at the recent meeting of the long Covid APPG.

The NHS GP-Patient Survey is 5 times bigger than the ONS Survey with nearly 700K respondents.

They estimate over 3M people in the U.K. have long Covid. COVID-19 is still causing long Covid yet we’re doing nothing about it.

We should prevent illness not punish disabled people!
March 13, 2025 at 11:19 AM
The Government should be doing something about the causes of escalating chronic ill health, including preventing new cases of long Covid, not punishing disabled people 😡

On this Covid Day Of Reflection, I’m thinking about all the people who have died because of COVID-19, close to 250,000 officially in the U.K.

I’m thinking about all those with long Covid. Over 3M in the U.K.

Covid is still killing and disabling and nothing is being done.
March 9, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Labour can’t even mention long Covid in their ‘Get Britain Working’ White Paper but they can make time for an Assisted Dying Bill.

NHS England’s next CEO needs to fix the flawed Infection Prevention and Control guidance.

Because Amanda Pritchard hasn’t. Nor has Wes Streeting.

COVID-19 is still killing & disabling.

Over 3M people have long Covid in the U.K. according to the NHS GP Survey.

Why didn’t Amanda Pritchard fix the flawed Infection Prevention & Control guidance?
