SPYRO: REIGNITED TRILOGY (Toys for Bob, 2018) [100% Achievements]

100%ed the PS1 versions a couple years back, felt like playing this version, and you can honestly go either way with these games.

Definitely helped me appreciate Spyro 2 and 3 a lot more (though I still prefer the first game).

WAKE UP DEAD MAN: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY (Rian Johnson, 2025)

Johnson’s 3 for 3 with these movies.

Probably the most straightforward whodunnit out of all the Knives Outs, but also definitely the funniest.

Or maybe that’s just because I saw it in the cinema.

Spotify wrapped, yeah yeah this company’s an evil virus of Satan, but can we talk for a second about how fucking bad the graphic design is this year

Why is all the text stretched like that

Didn’t Robot Chicken make that same joke years earlier?

BUGONIA (Yorgos Lanthimos, 2025)

Now this is what you call a movie. Bit slow at the start, but it’s got atmosphere, unpredictability, an actual soundtrack

I’m telling you people, good original movies are still being made, you just need to keep an eye out for them.

Why do people need music and overly elaborate animations in their UIs anyway

I get idolizing the Wii/Wii U menus because they remind you of a time when you had no real responsibilities but like

What’s wrong with this

MOUTHWASHING (Wrong Organ, 2024)

Perhaps the scariest thing about this game - scarier than the jumpscares, scarier than the feeling of isolation and helplessness in the infinite of space - is that one of the achievements asks you to straight up do a 360 no scope.

SATU: YEAR OF THE RABBIT (Joshua Trigg, 2024)

Saw this at a local film festival, it's a movie set in Laos about two kids on a road trip of discovery.

Honestly the most interesting thing is that it's shot on 16mm and it made me understand the people who yearn for the days of movies shot on film.

VAMPIRE SURVIVORS (poncle, 2022) [100% ACHIEVEMENTS]

When you learn that the lead dev of this game used to design slot machine graphics, its mindless simplicity makes a lot more sense.

UNPACKING (Witch Beam, 2021)

I won't lie, I kinda just got this game to get all the achievements because that's how I get my dopamine now I guess.

A nice breezy puzzle game about moving into new places with a nice emotional story hidden underneath.

Re: Steam Machine

I'm very excited for all the new hardware, but I think people claiming Valve will "win the console war" and such are setting themselves up for disappointment. (1/2)

FRANKENSTEIN (Guillermo Del Toro, 2025)

I would say Del Toro is a masterful director, but everyone already knows that.

So instead I’ll say that having only really seen him in Saltburn, Jacob Elordi was outstanding as the Creature.

Even if he does dress like the RE4 Merchant

This is just Aqua Teen Hunger Force for quirked-up white boys.

SONIC FRONTIERS (Sonic Team, 2022)

Probably the most 6/10 game on earth.

Nothing here is bad per se, but it just makes me question what was Sonic Team’s endgame. It’s got atmosphere and music like a NieR game, but nowhere near the same amount of substance.

Or world design, for that matter.

CARRIE (Brian De Palma, 1976)

Film club’s Halloween pick and yeah it’s great.

Didn’t necessarily relate to the bullying over a period or zealous Christian parent, but the whole “they’re gonna laugh at you!” spiral hit me square in the nerves.
