Thrilled to announce that since joining Boldwood in Sept 2022, I've sold 500,000 copies of my books!

I have five kids, but as I lived in France until April last year, this is my first World Book Day. Only my youngest (9) wanted to participate, and it was so cute/such fun. But I couldn't help be relieved I never had to try organising FIVE costumes. I love books but... 😬

Like all authors I've had my share of criticism and 1* reviews. But that makes the thoughtful, wonderful reviews all the more special.

Thank you to everyone who's taken the time to read and rate/review 'Midnight in Paris' - I am so thrilled that readers are loving it!

I suspected when Midnight in Paris was complete I'd written something special. So was particularly nervous about pre-publication reviews. Which makes it all the more thrilling when I get write-ups like this one! #midnightinparis #boldwoodbooks #tbr #bookreview #netgalley

I love the quote below by the brilliant Emma Thompson. Sometimes, the right book at the right time can be life-changing, life-saving, life-affirming or just give us the focus or diversion that we need!
Share your favourite bookish quote :)

Unexpected trip to the North Pole, via Limoges shopping centre. Who knew?

So, until about 2 days ago, I kept thinking my next book was out 11th 🤷‍♀️But turns out IT'S TOMORROW *hyperventilates* Time to start preparing for my customary celebration! By doing absolutely nothing different...
I'm rubbish at marking the moment. Luckily I have some fab reviewers lined up to help!

indulgent to grieve for a small cat. But it is what it is. I am where I am. And I am so, so sad.

I considered reading this book a few times before I actually took the plunge. And I'm so glad I finally got around to reading it. It's a beautifully observed story about love and loss, with characters so real that you feel as if you know them.

This poor little kitty was run over last night/this morning and died. The kids are devastated - we all are. Poor baby was only 2. I loved her and found her annoying in equal measure. But am completely broken up about it all. I'll miss that persistent 'chatter.' Night, night Tilly

The time leading up to a launch can be nerve-wracking. Especially when early reviews start coming in. That's why it's such a joy to wake up to a great, five-star review for 'The French Chateau Escape' this morning :). If you're a reviewer, it's still up for request on Netgalley!

Anyway, I thought I'd share with you some of the pros and cons of making the move, so you can see what life is like 'on the ground.'

People often ask what it's like to be a British person living in France. Of course, there are pros and cons. But I like to think I get the best of both worlds! I love the French attitude to lunch for example. No sandwiches at the keyboard for them - take the time: you're worth it!

My latest book 'A Month in Provence' was released in July. Its predecessor 'One French Summer' was released in February. Provence has sold more quickly, and I knew that its review count would overtake French Summer soon. But look! Today it's a tie!!
The race, it seems, is ON!

Have you ever taken a chance, despite feeling a little out of your depth? In 'A Month in Provence' Nicky has given up on her dreams, when a last-minute offer from her (very persuasive) friend opens a door she'd thought was shut forever. But has she bitten off more than she can chew?
