For the record I am reading Violence Jack and I absolutely love the writing, the original ideas, the mood, the pacing, the action, he's really good at this shit I gotta give that to him. But holy crap the amount of deranged gratuitous violence against women is just insane. How did they let this pass

Like I am certain any time the guy made a drawing of a woman being brutally SAd it added a year to his life. It also just blows my mind how ugly his art is. I can barely read his work. And yet, he's a legend and a shitton of later big manga exist thanks to his inspiration.
