I think there's more nuance to it all really but in the end it's not that important. Point is, as long as someone isn't harming or harassing anyone else it's fine.

Yes, we shouldn't be censoring art, especially personal art. However, that doesn't mean you can go around talking about that stuff to just anyone. For the same reason you don't just engage with someone sexually out of nowhere. It's not that people are prudes, it's that you need to respect boundaries

It's kind of a complicated internet culture thing. On one hand, I think it's fine for people to indulge in fanworks and even other arts with problematic content but I've also found the people talking about antis and stuff to be taking away the wrong lesson from it all.
