Over the last 3yrs in the West of England locality via the MedSIP Reducing Harm from Opioids programme it is estimated that 17 lives have been saved by reduction in chronic opioid use & 487 people have had the risk of opioid related death halved.

What did I do today?
1. Spent a lot of time internally singing 'find my purpose' from Avenue Q
2.Realised I need to provide myself with dedicated time and mental space to develop (not just e-learning!!)

The 2024 MBRRACE-UK report stated that 1 in 4 women/pregnant people that died from VTE did so in the first trimester.
With self-referrals now in place for most women and birthing people, how do we ensure that those at high risk of VTE are appropriately assessed & treated prior to midwife booking?
