Children’s author - wild scribbler - trying to protect seals and seabirds in local bay from disturbance
Banging quote from Mark Ruffalo - our community has fought so hard to protect wildlife from disturbance in our bay - and couldn't have done it without the help from our friends @wildjustice.bsky.social @markavery.bsky.social @chrisgpackham.bsky.social @robthomasbirds.bsky.social and many more...

A victory for wildlife and the community - and it raises the question - has the @pembscoast.bsky.social authority been fully informed about the impact of coasteering at other sites in Pembrokeshire where it appears no environmental impact assessments have ever been done?
Time to put wildlife first

This was a landmark victory for wildlife - thanks to @wildjustice.bsky.social but it raises the important question - - why haven't Environmental Impact Assessments or equivalent been undertaken for other coasteering routes in Pembrokeshire? What wildlife might have been disturbed at other sites?

A community victory to protect wildlife & wild places - it’s vital this landmark decision raises scrutiny of impacts of adventure tourism @huwirrancadaviesms.bsky.social
Coasteering still happening on nesting & pupping sites.
Surely time for licensing @pcfcic.bsky.social @pembscoast.bsky.social

“Adventure Hub plans quashed over environmental concerns”
A landmark result. Huge thanks to @wildjustice.bsky.social
It’s vital that this will ensure greater protections for wildlife in @pembscoast.bsky.social

Thank you @wildjustice.bsky.social and legal team supporting @cadwceibwr.bsky.social to protect Ceibwr Bay from disturbance to wildlife from coasteering.
A day after Judicial Review coasteeing continues on nesting site, trespass & disturbance. But @nationaltrust.org.uk allow access from their land

All set to go for another day at Haverfordwest law courts with fab @wildjustice.bsky.social and legal team to fight to give seals and seabirds a voice and protect them from disturbance
Great to see so many @cadwceibwr.bsky.social attending in person and online. A community trying to protect the bay

All set to go to Haverfordwest to judicial review Pembs Coastal National Park decision to approve adventure hub that could impact the wildlife at Ceibwr Bay. All best wishes to @wildjustice.bsky.social & their legal team for the right outcome
Let’s speak up for wildlife with @cadwceibwr.bsky.social

Hello @nationaltrust.org.uk our community @cadwceibwr.bsky.social say coasteering at Ceibwr is not appropriate as we believe it disturbs the nesting birds and seals.

I’ve been losing the will to write for a long time, while battling alongside our community to protect wildlife in our bay. This week I was considering giving up writing &campaigning. It’s been exhausting for all. But help comes when you need it most. Thx to these heroes whose messages arrived today

Coasteering again onto recognised nesting site where disturbance happened last year. Yet @nationaltrust.org.uk @pembscoast.bsky.social allow agreed routes from their land which they say are appropriate.
Our community @cadwceibwr.bsky.social say nesting and seal pupping sites aren’t appropriate.

The Pembrokeshire Marine Code says stay at least 50m away - so why do @nationaltrust.org.uk @pembscoast.bsky.social @pcfcic.bsky.social allow coasteering on nesting sites at Ceibwr? Our community @cadwceibwr.bsky.social hasn’t been given answers. Please can you ask @aledscourfield.bsky.social
May 11, 2025 at 7:57 AM
Our community @cadwceibwr.bsky.social have been saying for years that coasteering is not appropriate on nesting sites. Yet @nationaltrust.org.uk allow access across their land to nesting and seal pupping areas. And @pembscoast.bsky.social
@pcfcic.bsky.social support this. 1/2
May 11, 2025 at 6:31 AM
Hello @nationaltrust.org.uk our community @cadwceibwr.bsky.social wrote to ask you not to allow coasteering access across your land. You said Coasteering is valid if done in an appropriate way. We say coasteering on nesting and pupping sites isn't appropriate. What does @rspbcymru.bsky.social say?
May 10, 2025 at 4:42 PM
What’s going on @nationaltrust.org.uk ?
Trespass, breach of Pembrokeshire Marine Code, disturbing wildlife, breaching concordat, abuse to community allowed from your land. Again. Again. Again. As a landowner you have a legal responsibility to protect this SSSI and triple SAC. Again no enforcement.

Good news that @wildjustice.bsky.social have been given all 5 grounds to challenge the lawfulness of a planning decision by Pembs Coastal National Park Authority.
We travelled to Cardiff to hear the renewal hearing. Some members of @cadwceibwr.bsky.social joined and the wildlife came too 🦭
