Nothing like Old Reliable from Mama's cookbook. Especially when someone's sick!

In my family, our go-to is Thai-style chicken rice soup, kind of like a congee, with sautéed garlic and cilantro.

Queen Beelzebub, dressed in casual shorts and a crop-top hoodie, types furiously away on her phone with her bottom set of arms. Her hair and tail are “poofed out” and her ears and wings are in high alert position. Little Satanic sparkles glitter around her head. Panel 1: Alastor holds out a bowl of steaming food. "Niffty, be a dear and take this up to His Majesty and ask him what he'd like for dinner." Niffty's hands can be seen reaching up from the bottom of the panel as she cries, "Tasty tasty!" Panel 2: The bowl is bigger than Niffty's head (because the artist has trouble being CONSISTENT) as she holds it in her arms. The bowl is full of Candied Yams swimming in a syrupy, dark brown sauce. "Can't you ask him?" she asks innocently. Panel 3: "You've been avoiding him - talk to him, silly!" Niffty says off-camera. Alastor begins to turn away. "My dear, I'm afraid it's more complic-" Panel 4: "TALK TO HIM" Niffty insists, her eye manic as she holds the bowl in her left arm, and without averting her gaze, slams a knife through the body of a large bug and approximately 3 inches into the table. Panel 5: Shadow gapes at her brazen attitude, and Alastor turns his neck around 180 degrees with a sickening CRKKK. "... I should be upset at you for back-sassing me," he seethes, his antlers beginning to lengthen, green stitches appearing, and his eyes changing color. Panel 6: Niffty walks away without a care, holding the bowl aloft over her head as she says, "You know I'm right." Alastor puts his head in a hand and leans against the kitchen counter, looking resigned. "...you're right..." Shadow is incredulous that Alastor is letting her walk away, gesturing to her retreating form as if to say, "REALLY???"

Text overhead reads “2:00 AM.” Chibi Alastor bends down to kiss the top of Lucifer’s head and Lucifer sleepily wakes up with a confused “kwa?” sound and an impressive state of bedhead. His snake familiar also wakes up, still groggy. Alastor says, “All right cher, I’m headed out. I’ll be back in a few days.” Lucifer sleepily reaches for Alastor with grabby hands. “Nuuuu actual kiss plz.” The snake yawns. “Stay out of trouble,” says Alastor, giving Lucifer a little kiss. “Happy hunting!” says Lucifer.

Alastor: Sleep deprivation is considered to be a form of torture, Your Majesty. (No more coffee for you!) Lucifer: Nuuuu my coffee-!! Panel 3: Shadow ruffles Lucifer's hair as he looks up, still groggy. Alastor (offscreen): And you've punished yourself enough for one night. Panel 4: Closeup of a new mug that Alastor conjures, handing it to Lucifer. It's a large navy mug with a lime green duck with giant black eyes and an elongated neck. A small UFO is at the top, and in the middle in neon green letters is, "ALIEN AB-duck-TION." Alastor (offscreen): Here. Milk with honey. It will help you sleep. Lucifer (offscreen): No dreams? Alastor (offscreen): No dreams. Alastor slumps in an armchair, burying his face in one hand. Shadow adoringly watches Lucifer sleep, who is out like a light, curled up in a tight ball and faceplanted into his pillows. Alastor: What am I doing? (to Shadow) And you - stop it.

Lucifer looks stressed, but also very nice in his white shirt, pink pinstriped vest, and brown pants and boots. Alastor's mother is about Lucifer's height with dark brown skin and curly hair styled atop her head with a green polka-dotted headscarf. She's wearing a floral-patterned, aqua-colored tunic with green and yellow borders on the hem and collar, turquoise blue silk pants, various gold wrist bangles and earrings, and pink fuzzy house slippers. She holds both of Lucifer's hands in hers, patting them in a motherly fashion. She seems genuinely happy to meet him, likely because Alastor hardly ever brings anyone home to meet her.

Lucifer stands with one foot on the boulder he was previously sitting on, mad as hell as he yells at a pair of Exorcists. He flips them off with his right hand as he summons a fireball with his left. Wreaths of flame encircle his forearms and up over his shoulders. A pair of tall horns with red and gray patterning protrude from his forehead, and a ball of flame sits between the two prongs. A black tail with a spaded end lashes behind him and glowing flames can be seen in his mouth. Hovering just above him is his golden snake familiar, who now has three pairs of wings, white feathers with red tips, and flames flickering along her scales and eyes. The Exorcists recoil in fright, while Alastor looks on dreamily with hearts in his eyes. His red-furred ears are visible on top of his head, and his antlers start to manifest.

Day 4 - Gifting Flowers

Whatever Lucifer was expecting after yesterday's disaster, it certainly wasn't coming to his workshop to find a rare, carnivorous Devil's Orchid sitting on the counter, its petals open and apple-scented lure curling below.

Day 3 - Confessions

Turns out the Huntsman had a secret of his own.

The shapeshifter sat down, and Lucifer reached for the bleeding gash.

"Sorry the Exorcists ruined our date. They don't like me very much. Cursed witch and all."

He also has a large set of branching antlers and long claws. There's a little blood on his fangs.

I often work on multiple comic pages at once depending on what I have the spoons for that day. Some days I just wanna sketch, others is an inking kind of day.

Panels 3 and 4 were switched originally, but it made more sense later to swap them.

Lucifer is nestled among pink pillows and blankets in a hospital bed; he's wearing a blue gown and bandages around his neck, and his hair is in disarray. Behind him is an IV that's hooked up to his right arm. Charlie comes up in her usual red hotel uniform, carrying a small tray bearing an impressive ice cream glass filled with Banana Pudding made with sliced bananas, whipped cream and vanilla cookies. The whipped cream on top looks suspiciously like a duck. Pink bokeh lights and golden Satanic-cross sparkles dance around her face. Charlie: Guess who's graduated from liquid diet to soft foods? Lucifer throws his arms in the air, looking excited. He doesn't make a sound, but there are little inverted stars of happiness.
