I'm home sick and bored today, so let's continue with this reddit train wreck. I wouldn't be so bemused if this person's total lack of reading comprehension weren't in a discussion about language.

Its structure is absurd, but the vocabulary is not obscure. It contains phrases such as "the essence of beauty and emotion in harmonious composition" and "a sense of nostalgia, admiration, and inspiration". The OP replies "Everyday English... ☹️ Yeah, right." screenshot of the same thread, continued. I reply to the OP "That sentence is baroque, but if the vocabulary seems incomprehensible, you should really reconsider your confidence here." OP: "There's no 'sentence' for you to criticise; a sentence needs a finite verb." He goes on with some more pointless defensiveness and ends with "If that seems incomprehensible, you should really reconsider your confidence here." Me: "My dear, the sentence in question is the one you were replying to."
