I haven’t been feeling socks lately, so this broken rib sock on hand painted DK has been languishing.

A recent horror story comes from my first attempt at a fingering weight sweater. I thought my swatch was good…it was not. I still haven’t ripped this, but it’s coming. Learning my measurements the hard way.

I’ve made quite a few big, intricate shawls & I never wear them. So, lately I’ve been into smaller shawlettes which feel more accessible. This one is the Embark Shawlette knit quickly in an Aran tweed & modeled by Pips.

I have not made many summer knits. Probably due to my being intimidated by plant yarns. This little shawlette definitely has a summer feel with its colors and cotton-wool-silk yarn. Knit so long ago I don’t have the label or remember the pattern. 🫣

Blue week for #showmeyourknits ! I have a lot of blue-ish knits. I tend to gravitate toward teals…here’s a couple of pairs of blue socks knit quite a while ago. The royal blue is Cascade Heritage sock and the variegated ones are from a gifted sock blank.
