greatest problem in American politics is that Americans are not open to a boring and practical politics. Americans want their politicians to be warriors not technocrats. And they want politics to be a battle for the future, not a way of making society works slightly better for each of us.

If we needed any more proof, the Trump has zero commitment to truth… Trump firing the head of the labor statistics department because he’s not happy with the number of jobs that were created is how we are going to know that none of the data coming from the federal government can now be trusted

I just wanna say agentic AI is not the sexy new term for AI. It actually has a meaning and if you don’t use it for its meaning then all these terms become meaningless and we can’t have a real conversation of substance

When renewing one’s passports or doing anything like that with your kids you’re instantly reminded of the enormous personal benefit and government efficiency that would be achieved from a true and simple universal biometric ID

Surprisingly, all three of the big AI platforms seem to be unable to retrieve flight status information through basic queries. (would have just been faster to go to the airline website and search.)

So true: Mature industries, unlike newer categories, do not reward naïve innovations. Successful founders typically need deep domain expertise for their renovation to be viable
