As a person that draws, not being able to draw my OCs satisfactorily is a terrible curse I always struggle with.

Alas, I have nothing for my RevPit MS, but here are a few ones from other WIPs I'm actually ok with (details on alt bc words are a luxury)

I’m cheating and picking two.

I wanted a quote with the MCs interacting that was funny out of context and didn’t spoil anything. Alas…

I move her thick, brown hair to say into her ear, “Those fries are big for just one person.” She glares at me. “Are you food policing me?” I smile. “Just giving friendly advice on the portion size.” “Thanks,” she says curtly. Then she turns and orders the fries. Plus a serving of mozzarella sticks, as if out of spite. I peer at Andrew, expecting kudos and uproarious laughter at my prodigious acting, which goes wasted on the service industry. Instead he’s grinning at his phone like he didn’t even hear me. “Hey, what gives?” I pout. “Huh?” He looks up, still grinning, then distractedly gathering up his stuff. “Oh, yeah, you’re hilarious. Truly an undiscovered gem.” “Right? My teachers always said I had a lot of potential.” Wasted, mainly.

I have SO MANY. Right now I'm working on a rewrite of a YA fantasy featuring a 17yo boy destined to die young and how he copes (or more like he doesn't) with his deadly fate after he's assigned the quest of rescuing a kidnapped princess

Also this plant is kinda like my pet. Because it sort of just grew in a pot with a failed attempt at growing onions, and it's the very first plant I managed to grow without killing.

This may be my favorite one that works out of context, from Samantha's big moment near the end
I don’t want to end up like mom in two years, in five years, in ten years… wishing I had listened to my heart before I settled for suboptimal, thinking the world had nothing better to offer. I don’t want to wake up one day and realize that my only way out is disappointing the people that have loved the parts of me I allowed them to see, not knowing my true desires because I never dared to explore them myself.

Reading back to what I had started working on for the rewrite and like, so valid but also lol
Screenshot The first pinprick: I want to write a story based on the idea of a specific element signaling the protagonist’s fate (like pink hair in anime automatically means the person is the MC, but in this case white hair), but the MC is reluctant to fulfill their destiny, afraid of the detriment it may cause. (Highlighted) The idea came half-formed to me and lives forever in a live journal entry that I have saved somewhere in my computer, but that I refuse to look back to because it sucks. (End of highlight) The story tackles topics like fate, free will, bravery, and mental health (namely, anxiety and traumas)
